Ace Care Commercial offers a UK nationwide PAT testing service. We provide a complete and reliable service using the latest test equipment.
What is a portable appliance?
A portable appliance is an item of electrical equipment which is connected to the power supply by means of a plug and socket.
Why PAT test?
One of the first things Fire Officers and Health and Safety Inspectors usually ask to see on any inspection visit is PAT testing records. There are a number of reasons why appliances should be PAT tested on a regular basis – the most important ones are:
- To comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations
- To comply with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations
- To comply with all Health and Safety requirements and ISO standards
- To minimise the risk of fire and injury caused by electrical appliances
- To satisfy your Insurance Company
- To comply with quality assurance policies
Each item we test will be given a full visual inspection followed by the appropriate electrical safety checks
Disruption to Staff
All electrical equipment to be tested has to be disconnected from the mains electricity supply. Our experienced engineers will keep any disruption to the absolute minimum. We provide “Out of Hours” service if required at no extra cost.
We follow the Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment produced by the Institution of Electrical Engineers.
On completion of the testing you will be issued with a comprehensive equipment register and compliance certificate. Each tested item will be labelled.
We can implement a fully managed, efficient and cost effective system with our comprehensive inspection and testing service.
This will allow you to concentrate on your business, knowing that your portable electrical safety requirements are met. |
